The Story Behind Kidosho
Our Manifesto
We believe clothing is more than fabric — it is identity in motion. We believe what you wear should reflect discipline, confidence, and intention.
We create for the modern family — women, men, and children — who understand that presence is built, not borrowed.
Our work is rooted in precision, elevated design, and timeless construction. We do not follow trends. We refine standards.
This is not fast fashion. This is a fashion house built on purpose.

Liz Kitua is the CEO and Creative Director of Kidosho, and The Kidosho Foundation. Kidosho was born of Liz's desire to change the narrative of the Kenyan fashion industry, in a way that was significant and sustainable. Having worked in the aviation industry, she made the decision to switch over to her second passion – clothing and design; from the skies, to the catwalk, so to speak.
Kidosho began as a womenswear brand built on one principle- that clothing should elevate the woman wearing it. From the beginning, the focus was never simply on garments. It was on identity, confidence, and presence. We created pieces that allowed modern women to feel powerful, refined, and unmistakably themselves.
As the brand evolved, so did the vision.
Kidosho was never meant to remain confined to one category. It was always intended to become a house- one that serves the modern family with the same discipline, elegance, and intentionality.
The expansion into childrenswear- Tiny Tribe came naturally. We saw an opportunity to create playful yet elevated pieces for children- garments that respect both comfort and design. A reflection of the same standards we hold for women.

Mankara followed with equal clarity. The modern man needed smart-casual pieces that balance structure and ease, refinement and wearability. So we built a line that embodies quiet confidence. Understated, precise, and timeless.
Across women, children, and men, our philosophy remains unchanged:
We design with intention. We build with discipline. We create beyond trends.
Kidosho is not a label. It is a growing fashion house; rooted in excellence, expanding with purpose, and committed to shaping how the modern family shows up to the world. And this is only the beginning.
Liz's passion for Kenyan fashion translated into living colour is what makes the whole process worth it. Professionally, Kidosho runs like a tight ship led by an efficient – no pun intended – captain. Personally, Liz runs on the drive that cares about the clients, and the team around her. Either way, everything runs straight from the heart.
